WrestleMania Backlash 2022 is the next WWE Premier Live event after WrestleMania 38. Backlash shows were earlier called Backlash only but since last year WWE added WrestleMania as a prefix to the show’s name. The first official match announced for the show is Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey’s “I Quit Match” for the SmackDown Women’s championship.

#1 Charlotte Flair (c) vs Ronda Rousey – SmackDown Women’s championship
Charlotte defeated Ronda at WrestleMania 38, with Charlotte taking advantage while Rousey’s attention was occupied by referee Charles Robinson, who had been knocked down by a wayward Charlotte spear. Rousey challenged Flair at the first SmackDown after WrestleMania but the champion denied the rematch, WWE later confirmed the rematch as an I Quit match on the Talking Smack.
#2 Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins
Cody returned to WWE after years at WrestleMania 38 and defeated Seth Rollins in a one-on-one match. Two days later, at RAW after WrestleMania, Rhodes kick-off the show and Rollins just welcomed him to WWE. Next week WWE made Rhodes vs Rollins II official for the Backlash Premium Live Event.
#3 Raw Tag Team Champions RK – BRO vs SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos (Winner takes all)
After WrestleMania, The Usos stormed to Raw and issued a challenge to Raw Tag Team champions RK-BRO (Randy Orton and Riddle). 3 days later RK-BRO crashed to SmackDown and accepted the challenge from The Bloodline. The match is official between them and the winner will leave with both Tag Team titles.
#4 Edge vs AJ Styles
Edge defeated Styles at WrestleMania 38 with the help of Damien Priest. Now Edge and Priest are working side-by-side to form a stable. However, Styles challenges Edge for a rematch after the attack of Priest. Edge later accepted the challenge and WWE officially announced the match.
