WWE Premium Live Events are earlier known as Pay Per Views. The involvement of Peacock in WWE and the widespread of WWE Network worldwide forced WWE to change the name of their premier shows. WrestleMania and Royal Rumbles are no more PPVs now they are Premium Live Events (WWE PLE).

SummerSlam will be held in July for the first time in the event’s history, with a July 30 date in Nashville. It is one of many WWE PPVs that have shifted from Sunday to Saturday in 2022.
