AEW’s Tag Title Tournament is the next thing coming in All Elite Wrestling right now. AEW chief Tony Khan revealed details about this upcoming Tag-Team Title tournament. Before AEW launch a new TV show on TNT this October, several teams will fight to clear initial round of this tournament. Matches will begin from All Out PPV.
There are many tag teams currently under a contract of AEW and many will join in future for this tournament. We are here with some of the best tag teams currently under the contract of AEW as contenders to become part of AEW’s tag title tournament.
#5 SoCal Uncensored
SoCal Uncensored showed their talent at Double or Nothing by defeating CIMA, T-Hawk and El Lindaman in a six-man opener match. SCU has three members Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky, and Christopher Daniels in AEW. However, Daniels has less chance to featured in Tag team tournament over Kazarian and Sky. Involvement of SoCal Uncensored will definitely increase competition level and interest in the tag team division.
SoCal Uncensored is one of the top contenders to become first ever AEW tag team champions also.
#4 The Dark Order
The Dark Order debut on AEW Double or Nothing by attacking Angélico, Jack Evans, Chuck Taylor, and Trent Beretta after their match. After that, they issued warning to tag team division via social media. Both Evil Uno and Stu Grayson are set to get a big heel push in AEW. They have already showcased their talent in promotions like ROH, NJPW and AEW is next.
#3 The Lucha Bros
Fénix and Pentagón Jr proved how outstanding wrestlers they are at Double or Nothing against The Young Bucks, Both teams presented match of the night contender match.
The Lucha Bros had shown their talent all over the world. They wrestled in AAA, Lucha Underground, PWG, MLW, and many other indy promotions. They achieved hights in all promotions where they wrestled. Fénix and Pentagón Jr are serious top contenders to become first ever AEW Tag Team champions.
