The September 18, 2023 episode of Monday Night Raw kicked off with big match between Cody Rhodes and Dominik Mysterio. The show was live from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, featuring all the latest build to the upcoming Fastlane premium live event scheduled for early next month in Indianapolis.

Cody Rhodes vs Dominik Mysterio

Cody Rhodes Kicked off the Monday Night Raw and was about to talk about Jey Uso but Dominik Mysterio interferes him. He got a huge boo! Dom said that the only thing the WWE Universe wanna know about Jey is that he will be joining The Judgment Day soon. He informed that Rhea Ripley is not here as she is injured by Nia Jax last week and he is here to dedicate his victory to Mami. Cody advised Dom to define his relationship, as the way he thinks that he is into Rhea is not really is. Finn Balor and Damien Priest are here to support Dom on the ringside.

Dom had a cheap shot on Cody, which pissed him off. Cody delivered a Vertical throwdown and a punch to the face. When Cody stood on the aperid, Balor pulled his legs to hit him face first in the aperid. Dom then had two to three strikes and looks for Three Amigo, but Cody escaped and delivered him a Cody Cutter and Cross Rhodes for the win.

The Judgment Day tried to attack Cody, but Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn came to even the odds. Which made The Judgment Day retreat.

When Cody was about to leave, Owens cuts the music and calls out Cody to the ring for a short discussion. Owens asked is he the reason why Jey is back on Raw and why he does that? Cody said that he wanted to give him the second chance, by giving him time and space to recover.

Kofi Kingston vs Ivar

Kofi Kingston tries to slam Ivar, but couldn’t able to. Ivar with a shoulder takle and a sit drop on the corner. Kofi with a drop kick and roundhouse kick to lay Ivar down. Ivar took Kofi out of the ring over the top rope and went for a splash from the aperid. After the commercial, Ivar with a Sideliner and a Cross Body. Ivar went for a top rope splash, but Kofi moves and landed on the floor.

Kofi with a splash to the back and a cross body from the top rope. Kofi delivers “SOS” on Ivar and measures for a Trouble in Paradise, but Ivar escaped and delivers a Powerbomb. Ivar with a round house kick to Kofi, which would nearly ended the match. Ivar with a Moon Sault, but Kofi kicks out. Ivar took Kofi to the top rope, but Kofi hit him with a Sliding Powerbomb and Trouble in Paradise for the win.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Ricochet

Nakamura makes his way to the ring, however before his entrance end, Seth Rollins music hits, as he chases Nakamura. Adam Pearce and securities came to pull him off and take him backstage and commercial hits. After the commercial, Rollins was taken out to the backstage.

Ricochet straight away goes on Nakamura, where Nakamura holds the ropes and kicks Nakamura when ref tried to separate them. Nakamura hit Ricochet with a couple of kicks to the chest, Ricochet with a Hurricane Rana and stomps him in the corner.

Nakamura hit Ricochet with a sliding Drop Kick and knee attack make him to take control. Nakamura locks Ricochet neck, but went for a Shooting Star press. Nakamura delivered a knee to Ricochet’s midsection before Ricochet hit him with a crossbody from the top rope and Nakamura kicked out. Ricochet delivered a step-up insecurity. Nakamura grabs a chair, but Ricochet took the chair from him and hit him on the spine, causing the disqualification.

After the match, Nakamura delivered Ricochet with a Kinshasa to the back of the head. He locked Ricochet around the ring post and blew him with chair shots. Seth Rollins came out of nowhere and started attacking Nakamura. He tried to threw Nakamura on the chair, but Nakamura delivered a back body drop and sent Rollins spine first over the chairs. Officials and securities came to separate them, but Nakamura threw him over the announce desk hurting his back. 

After the commercial, Seth struggled to stand and walked through the Doctor on the backstage.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark vs Chelsea Green & Piper Niven

Zoey Stark and Chelsea Green started the match, where Green delivered a boot to Stark’s midsection hit her with back to back blows. Stark hit her with an uppercut and tagged Baszler in. Baszler delivered a backbreaker and tagged Stark back in. Stark hit her with a knee strike and splashed her in the corner, but Green moved out of the way and hit her with a missile dropkick from the top rope. Green tagged Niven in as she delivered a shoulder breaker.

Green tagged back, but got caught with a thrust kick. Baszler and Niven got into the ring and took the fight out of the ring to continue to brawl. Nia Jax came out of nowhere and tossed Niven into the ring steps, causing a disqualification. Jax then delivered a Samoan Drop and a senton to Stark. Jax then chucks Green across the ring and delivers a splash to Baszler.

Result : No contest

Chad Gable vs Bronson Reed

Reed showcased his power by throwing Gable down. Gable fought back, but Reed with a overhead throw made him take the control. Reed sent Gable to the turnbuckle and threw him to the top of the ring post.

After the commercial, Reed had Gable on his shoulder, but Gable escaped only to be caught in the clothesline. Gable however gained some momentum and went for a Flying Headbutt.Reed hit him with a Bulldozer splash and went for the Senton. But Gable kept his knees raised and went for sleeper holds, but Reed dropped him down and hit him with a Tsunami for the win.

Winner: Bronson Reed

NXT women’s championship open challenge

Becky Lynch arrived to Raw and talked about elevating the NXT Women’s Championship. She look to defend her title and issued an open challenge. Natalya interrupts her and challenges Lynch for the championship. Becky said that she wanted someone, who didn’t got the shot. However, Natty pushes Lynch and Lynch accepts.

As soon as the bell rang, Natty attacked Becky and sent her out of the ring. After the commercial, Becky Lynch delivered Natalya with a Becksploder and looked for a Manhandle Slam. Where Natty counters and looks for Sharpshooter, which Becky counters.

Becky pulled her to the ropes and climbed the top rope for a leg drop, but Natty hit her with a Super-plex. Natty measures for a Sharpshooter, but Becky pushed her as Natty hit her with a Clothesline. Becky threw her head first to the turnbuckle. Both then went for back to back roll up, where Becky picked up the win to retain the title.

Winner: Becky Lynch

Giovanni Vinci vs Tommaso Ciampa

Both locked their shoulders up, but Vinci had the initial control. Vinci hit Ciampa with a Powerful Clothesline and a Backdrop. Ciampa however bounced back with a running splash and a reverse DDT. Ciampa hit him with a kick to the face and locked him with a Sicilian stretch, which made Vinci tap out.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa

Jey Uso vs Drew McIntyre

Both have a deep stare down. Shoulders locked and McIntyre pushed Jey to the corner. After which, Jey took McIntyre to the corner and hit him with shots to the midsection and a head kick. Drew fights back with vicious chops. Jey tries to counter, but Drew hit him with a overhead throw and chop to the chest. Jey fought back with a headbutt and 5 punches to the face. Jey sends Drew out of the ring and hit him eith a couple of Suicide Dive.

As both laid down, The Judgment Day males their way to the ring. Earlier today they asked Jey to take a decision on whether they are with them or not by the end of the day.

After the commercial, both Drew and Jey were on the top rop, where Drew hit a Super-plex on Jey. Drew and Jey goes for back to back punches. Drew with a head butt, and Jey hit him with a kick to the head and a Samoan Drop. Drew scrolls out. When Jey tried to Suicide dive, Drew hit him on the face.

Drew hit Jey with a Neck Breaker and measured for a Claymore. The Judgment day distracts them as Jey hit him with a Superkick but Drew kicked out. Balor and Priest convinces him between the match to join them, but Jey hit Superkick to all the three members of The Judgment Day. McIntyre hit a Claymore to Jey and went for the win.

After the match all the three members of The Judgment Day attacks Jey. Drew watches him on the entrance ramp with a doubt whether to help him or not. Cody Rhodes however came to help Jey. Cody and Jey took The Judgment Day out.

Winner: Drew McIntyre
