Asia Cup 2020 will be hosted by Pakistan and it will be the 15th edition of it. ACC (Asian Cricket Council) Asia Cup is an One Day and T-20 cricket tournament. From 2016, tournament is organized on rotation basis between One Day and T-20 cricket tournament. India is defending champion by winning the tournament in 2018.
Venus is not decided yet for the tournament due to political conflicts between India and Pakistan. However, PCB and ACC will take the final call for the venues.
India is the most successful team in the history of Asia Cup by winning the title record 7 times. Sri Lanka won the title 5 times and Pakistan won the title 2 times.

History
The first edition of Asia Cup was held in 1984 in UAE. It was round robin tournament between India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. In 1986, second edition was held in Sri Lanka, where India withdraw from the tournament due to some cricketing issues at that time. Bangladesh was included in the tournament for the first time. Sri Lanka won that edition by defeating Pakistan in the final.
In 2016, it was announced that now tournament will be played in rotation basis between ODI and T-20 format. First T-20 Asia cup was held in Bangladesh in 2016. India won this edition by defeating home team Bangladesh in final.
