New year’s eve edition of Monday Night Raw will be an beginning to road to Royal Rumble. Below are the detailed WWE RAW results of 31 December 2018.

Drew McIntyre Vs Dolph Ziggler in Steel Cage Match

The night was started with a bang steel cage match between Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. The former teammates fought everything they have in the match. McIntyre dominated in the beginning but Ziggler countered him very well. He pushed the cage door onto Ziggler’s head. McIntyre and Ziggler climbed up to the cage where McIntyre landed a huge suplex from the top.

In the end, Ziggler tried ZigZag but McIntyre reversed by a Claymore Kick and again hit Claymore Kick for three count.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

After the match, Ziggler asked “is that’s all you got” to McIntyre and McIntyre again returned to the cage with steel chair. He did another Claymore Kick to Ziggler’s face using steel chair.

Seth Rollins confronted the Triple H

Seth Rollins hit to the ring and demanded Intercontinental championship rematch against Dean Ambrose. Instead of Ambrose, The Game Triple H made his way to the ring. He replied to Rollins that nothing will be given automatically now and he don’t deserved the title opportunity.

Rollins said he carried the WWE in last 12 months and deserved the opportunity. Triple H announced the match between Rollins and Bobby Lashley for later night but Shane McMahon joined them to defuse the situation. Shane announced a battle royal and the winner will get Intercontinental championship opportunity later on the night.

Battle Royal

A bunch of RAW superstars started the battle royal. Apollo Crews eliminated Viktor and No Way Jose. Zack Ryder gave his first appearance on RAW in 2018. Lucha House Party eliminated Titus O’Neill. Finn Balor eliminated all members of Lucha House Party. Apollo Crews eliminated both members of B Team, Konnor and then Mojo Rawley and cleared the almost ring.

Corbin eliminated Balor. Once Corbin elimininated Ryder; Corbin, Hawkins and Crews were the remaining three. Corbin then eliminated Hawkins and in the end Corbin was eliminated by Crews.

Winner: Apollo Crews and became the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship.

After the match, Baron Corbin retured to the ring and said Crew’s win was not fair. Elias interrupted him and sang a song to annoy Corbin. Corbin and Elias attacked each other and the Corbin rushed to backstage and their brawl.

Bayley, Sasha Banks & Ember Moon Vs Riott Squad

The Riott Squad started with Bayley and Sasha Banks was tagged in. Sarah Logan was attacked by Bayley and Ember one by one. Ruby Riott tagged in and shared some moves with Ember Moon. Then Liv Morgan tagged in and tried a pinfall on Ember.

Ruby Riott went for the pinfall on Banks but was kicked out by Banks. In the end, Bayley tagged in and landed a elbow from the top rope on Sarah and win the contest for her team.

Winners: Bayley, Sasha Banks and Ember Moon

Seth Rollins vs. Bobby Lashley

Lio Rush tried to distract Rollins and this helps Lashley for taking advantage. Lio Rush even threw Rollins to ring post when Lashley distracted referee. After that, Rollins tried to take control of the match but once again Lio tried to interrupt. It made Rollins furious and he attacked Lashley with steel chair for disqualification.

Winner: Bobby Lashley with disqualification.

It is announced that John Cena will return to RAW on next week and this week’s SmackDown Live.

Jinder Mahal & The Singh Brothers vs. Heath Slater & Rhyno in handicap match

Slater and Jinder started the match and Singh brother traded the tags to took control over match. Singh Brothers distracted the referee and Jinder hit the  Khallas on Rhyno to get pinfall victory.

Winners: Jinder Mahal and Singh Brothers

Dean Ambrose vs. Apollo Crews for Intercontinental Championship

The match was for short duration and started well with Crews dominated with the beginning. Apollo hit shooting star press on Ambrose for pin but was kicked off. Ambrose hit with the dirty deeds and got the pin.

Winners: Dean Ambrose

Alexa Bliss announced backstage that her new show “Moment of Bliss” will begin next week. And guess her first guest? It’s Ronda Rousey.

Ronda Rousey & Natalya vs. Nia Jax & Tamina

Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax started the match. Natalya and Tamina tagged in and Tamina found herself in trouble. Ronda tagged in again and hit a huge drive on Jax and Tamina outside the ring. Natalya and Tamina fought and Rousey followed up with an armbar on Tamina for the win.

Winners: Ronda Rousey and Natalya
