For years, the company has booked the WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view as the one time of the year that everything gets extreme but, this time, things have taken a rather large twist. COVID-19 had forced WWE to move all WWE programming to Performance Center. PPVs like WrestleMania, Backlash were taped/live from the Performance Center and some other places for stipulation matches.
WWE changed the theme of Extreme Rules from extreme pay-per-view to a horror pay-per-view and added two horror type theme matches.
The Wyatt Swamp Fight between Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt, a WWE Championship clash between Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler, Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championship Matches, a gruesome Eye for an Eye Match and much more highlight the pay-per-view event.
