Records of Indian batsmen against West Indies are always fired up. Even though West Indies had not very weak bowling line up but still India batsmen outsmart them and played some of the incredible innings that fans always remember.

West Indies is not the same as their 70s and the 80s team but still with time Indies gave World Cricket some of the best bowlers.  Here we take a look at record-breaking knocks by Indian batsmen against West Indies.

#1 Sehwag destroyed West Indies bowlers in Indore

In the year 2011, Virendra Sehwag destroyed West Indies bowling line up like playing cards in Indore. He scored 219 runs from just 149 deliveries with 25 fours and 7 sixes. It was the highest individual score in One Day cricket until Rohit Sharma broke it.

The tornado of Virendra Sehwag put India on the top in the match with massive 418 runs on the scoreboard. Sehwag’s magic was the treat for Indian cricket fans in all over the world.

#2 Dhoni’s unsuccessful struggle

The captain cool MS Dhoni saved India many times in the crisis. It was the year 2009 when India was chasing a big total against West Indies and lost 8 wickets only at 82 runs. India was struggling to score even 100 runs mark.

MS Dhoni made a partnership of 101 runs with RP Singh for the 9th wicket and scored brilliant 95 runs. Even though his efforts do not make India won the match but still his surviving partnership once again proved his undeniable credibility.

#3 Sachin’s furious ton in 2007

The year 2007 was not a great year for Indian cricket. It was the time West Indies team was traveling to India and both the teams were in bad form. Sachin Tendulkar was batting at 4th position and his position other than opener was never imagined.

In the match number 4 at Vadodara, India was in a strong position. Sachin did the incredible partnership with Rahul Dravid and then with MS Dhoni.  India scored a total of 341 runs in the match. The little master scored 100 runs with just 76 deliveries and destroyed West Indies bowling line up.
